ARAI — Artist Ratio AI — is an open, voluntary standard that makes visible how human creativity and AI involvement combine in a musical work. Without judgment. Without prohibition.
Philosophy
ARAI takes no side in the debate about AI in music. It provides a common language.
Generative AI systems like Suno, Udio, and comparable platforms enable millions of people to create complete songs in minutes — without classical training, without a studio, without an instrument. At the same time, experienced musicians increasingly work with AI tools for lyric suggestions, sound design, arrangements, mixing, or mastering.
A tension arises. Listeners can no longer tell how much human contribution is contained in a song. Copyright, compensation models, creative credits, and cultural debates about authenticity are all complicated by this opacity.
ARAI fills exactly this gap — as a voluntary, open transparency standard. Think of it as a nutrition label for music: not a verdict on good or bad, but clear, honest information about what went into making it.
Both paths are valid. The musician who creates entirely by hand. The artist who collaborates deeply with AI. And everything in between. ARAI makes that visible — fairly, neutrally, and with respect for all creative processes.
ARAI — Version 3.0 · March 2026 · Author: Sven Kremers · Status: Open Invitation to Collaborate
Human creativity and craftsmanship are represented by green — the color of nature, growth, and organic expression. Not superior. Just human.
Collaboration between human and AI is represented by yellow — sunny, energetic, and positive. AI as a tool in service of human creativity.
AI-generated is represented by blue, fluid, deep and limitless like the ocean. It embodies a new creative dimension, not better, just a different origin.
ARAI is not a regulation or a gate. It is an invitation — to creators who value honesty, to listeners who want to understand what they hear.
The System
ARAI Version 3.0 evaluates music across four interconnected dimensions — from individual creative choices to genre-specific weighting.
Layer 01
ARAI evaluates six creative dimensions of a musical work — each one a distinct site of creative decision-making and potential AI involvement.
Layer 02
Each dimension receives a clearly defined AI Level from 0 to 5.
Layer 03
A weighted overall score translated into five intuitive categories.
Layer 04 — NEW
Not every genre evaluates creative dimensions equally. A Hip-Hop track lives on text and flow; a Techno track on sound design and groove. The GWM adapts the weighting to the real creative emphasis of each genre — making ARAI more culturally realistic and fairer across different music scenes.

Welcome
This tool guides you through your production process step by step. You assess each creative dimension of your track — how much AI was involved, and in what way. At the end you receive your ARAI Score and a shareable badge.
The process is completely anonymous. No data is transmitted or stored unless you choose to share it.
Step 1 of 8
The genre determines how creative dimensions are weighted. Choose what best describes your track.
Step 2 of 8
Text, narrative, linguistic expression — the words of your song.
Step 3 of 8
The voice — melodic lead, performance, interpretation, delivery.
Step 4 of 8
Harmony, melody, song structure, chord progressions, arrangement.
Step 5 of 8
Synthesis, effects, sonic character, instrument sounds, textures.
Step 6 of 8
Balance, spatial design, blend, EQ, dynamics — the internal balance of the track.
Step 7 of 8
Final processing, loudness normalization, the finishing touch for release.

Get Involved
ARAI is an open concept in development. We believe that transparency in music is not only possible but necessary — and that the community of artists, producers, labels, and listeners must help shape the standards.
If you're a developer, researcher, label, distributor, or musician who wants to collaborate, partner, or contribute to ARAI — we'd love to hear from you.
ARAI is looking for:
— Technical collaborators (API integration, DAW plugin development)
— Platform partners (streaming services, distribution platforms)
— Community builders (music communities, artist networks)
— Researchers (musicology, AI ethics, copyright law)
This is an open invitation. ARAI is a concept that belongs to the music community — not to any single company or platform. Your input shapes the future of this standard.
